Who I Am
Hello, I’m Luke. With a background as a CBT/EMDR/ACT practitioner for a lead performing NHS Mental Health Trust, I provide an empathetic, functional, holistic, solution-focussed and friendly/informal approach, which is evidence-based, person-centred and compassionate. I adapt and integrate diverse psychological interventions to suit you and your unique circumstances.
I am a British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) accredited therapist who has also trained in EMDR and ACT. My first degree was from Bristol University and then, following an Introduction to Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, I studied psychology at London South Bank University and the University of East London. My CBT training was at the University of Surrey and the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College, London.
I have completed secondments and placements at CADAT (Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma) and at King’s College Hospital. I receive and deliver weekly supervision from and to other therapists and attend regular training courses to keep my practice up-to-date and in line with the evidence base.

TESTIMONIALS
“Thank you so much for your support, for always listening, all your empathy and compassion, it has meant the world. I feel like I’ve been carrying around a box inside me that I’m ashamed for people to see so having someone to sit down and help me look around the box has been huge for me and I will always appreciate it.”
Sam
“Thank you so much for all your help in our therapy sessions, which I feel have propelled me to make really positive changes in my thoughts and behaviour around panic and social anxiety”.
Helen
“What a journey this has been. I would like to say thank you for all of the support, encouragement and ‘worksheets’ (ha, ha) you have given me over the past months! The support I have received has helped me to turn my life around. When we first met I was in a dark place.”
Rachel
“Therapy taught me to open my mind to different methods, techniques and strategies. I have learnt it’s okay to think about things we often put in the back of our minds. And that avoidance would only create more pain. These are life long lessons I shall carry with me always.”
Billy
“I am working at a school as teaching assistant and wanted to let you know how well I’m feeling. The CBT treatment really helped to turn my life around and I can’t express how grateful I am for that. I was sitting here reflecting on the last two years of my life and thought it would be nice to say thank you.”
